Dischistodus Damselfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work should be provided for grazing and resting. Dischistodus Damselfish may pick at small benthic crustaceans. Be sure to thoroughly research each species as Dischistodus Damselfish can be very territorial and aggressive. They should only be housed with larger tank mates not easily harrassed. A diet of meaty and algae based foods which includes Spirulina should be provided.
The White Damselfish are also known as the White Dascyllus. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. The White Damselfish are one of the most aggressive of the Damselfish species careful planning and consideration should be taken before adding this fish. Juvenile White Damselfish are mainly white with two black vertical stripes, as the fish matures the stripes will fade. They can grow a little over 8".
