Black-Tipped Bullseye Sweeper
(Pempheris affinis)
Provide an aquarium with ample rockwork, caves, cracks, crevices, overhangs and wide-open swim areas. Sweepers may not ship well so extra special care should be provided when adding them to the aquarium. Sweepers are best kept in small groups. Low lighting should be provided as they are nocturnal fish. Sweepers are peaceful and should be housed with other peaceful fish. When first acclimating offers live foods, when feeding well begin offering meaty prepared foods. Once acclimated Sweepers will readily accept most foods, fed multiple times daily. Black Tipped Bullseye Sweeper is also commonly known as the Black Tipped Bullseye. It is rarely seen in the aquarium trade. The Glasseye Squirrelfish has a silvery body with a red dorsal fin and a yellow tail. It has large, dark eyes that give it its name. They can grow up to 8 inches in length.
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons or larger for this species.
